When a child is born, he needs intense care from everyone specially from mother and she does her job well. He needs to be cuddled, excretion is handled and every kind of care is needed. But the most important thing he needs is mother’s milk. He needs it and asks for it every time he cries or has less energy or hungry and she always is there for him and then there comes a time when she needs to make her child independent from her feed. He cries but she doesn’t feed him his milk, when he asks for it she refuses and he starts crying. She gets hurt seeing him crying but she knows that it is necessary. Now, why he must go through that pain????
Because he needs to learn how to be independent. He needs to learn that he can’t always have what he wants. Even if he thinks he needs it he has to get it some other way or forget it. Sometimes, the latter option is the only option. And the same thing happens in life. We can’t always get what we want!
Life might give us some chances where we can think that it’s ours but many times, it is not. Whether it is the good grades that make you think you’ll be on top this year but somehow someone else comes on top. May be you were not thinking about something bigger!
Sometimes, a soldier dies and his lover keep on thinking “why hers..”. May be she didn’t think that he was born to die. His father thought that he will always be annoyed by him but didn’t think that what would his life be like when he won’t be there to annoy him. His brother would always ask to ride his bike and always gets a refusal and when finally, he got it, he doesn’t want to. May be he didn’t know that he was happy in those refusals more than the bike ride.
120 people die in a day in an unknown small country, no one cares. Thousands of people die in the mid-east, no one cares. But 50 people in a famous country die and everyone is like ‘whoa! That’s so awful’. May be we need to grow up or maybe we didn’t think that nothing bad will happen to which we think is good. People change their pictures into flags just to show sympathy but people who are suffering want hands and fortunately or unfortunately, they hardly get any because, we don’t always get what we want.
Sometimes, a girl is afraid to get hurt from her relationship in future so she decided to end it earlier but she knows her guy won’t be able to love anyone else and she also knows that her life would be nothing without him. Still she wants to end it. And he might become miserable because he was not born to make connections now once he has, he needs it but might not get it, ever again. May be something big or nothing was about to happen and she didn’t realize any of these.
When a businessman loses some money in share market and when he returns home with a loss and a sad face, he smiles. He smiles because his wife had made him his favorite dinner and his kids won awards at school competition. He slept like a baby knowing that tomorrow again he has to work to not to lose money. Because he knew something better and peaceful is there and maybe he knew that he can’t always have what he wants.
Every goddamn day brings you the same sun, same sky, same moon and same environment but the only variable that changes is TIME. Time is the one you can value and can teach you that you are here and you got to live, anyway! Life doesn’t always give you fair chances, neither it is merciful on you. Sometimes the things are the way they are and they will be but something that can change with time is you, yourself because you are the one who’s gonna be affected and will suffer, why? Because things will be unwanted but you have to take it.
And something that might makes it difficult for you to live is people. When you love them, care for them, be there for them then they are too much into your favors that they forget what you were to them. And when you decide to be a loner, anti-social or careless they are ready to tackle you, to make you sane like them again, and make you miserable again because they think you’re too miserable being alone, you know why??? Because you don’t always get every goddamn time whatever the hell you want.
I have learnt that world isn’t that easy to live in, I think it needs fixing, the minds need fixing but they can’t be fixed. You see? That this whole ‘you don’t always get what you want’ thing is taught from the very beginning, from the childhood but we still never realized it (I hope now some will). But the irony is everyone wants to realize it but STILL, you don’t, you know why?
BECAUSE YOU DON’T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT!!!
