The Idealist Of Dichotomy -3

The Common Unit

My reasons for Room-13:
In the time that took everybody to adjust to their newest pseudo-home in the hostel, I scoped out the valid from the invalids in my search for – an infrequent source of – tolerable companionship. This endeavor led me to a rigid yet rebellious gentleman (codename Goosander) hailing from the same initial state as myself. Naturally, this led to an encounter with his pesky dancercising roommate (codename Inches) from the Computer Science department. Computers, attract me.

His reasons for Room-13:

Like all living things incapable of photosynthesis, our hero too felt the primal urge to devour nutritious, sustaining food. Living on the top floor, he had to take the stairs down to our (ground) floor where the stairs ended; in front of the door marked 13 in white paint.
Our hero, being unfortunate enough to land a singular irritable roomie, and possessing lingering negativity from his recent past, was haunted by streaks of loneliness and withdrawal. Behind the door – marked 13 – he found a kind, accepting mate that he could perhaps have a decent conversation with and what more, the short (maybe) friend was also in the Computer Science branch as himself AND from the same state too! It was hope for him.

The juncture at which our paths collided was the short, spectacled spectacle from Room no. 13 – Inches.

Up next: Introduce thyself. Stay put.
